About Los Haitises National Park
Los Haitises National Park covers more than 1,600 square kilometers between Samana Bay and the eastern Dominican coast. The park protects dense mangrove forests, limestone caves with pre Columbian Taino petroglyphs, and a karst landscape of green islands rising from calm water.
